Company Group Training Available
Our approach is a unique combination of the traditional Jungian Sandplay Practice and a Humanistic Approach. I incorporate a balance between didactic learning as well as ample hours in personal practice. This training in Sand Tray Therapy will include the history of sand tray therapy and its different theoretic backgrounds. During this course, you will explore sandplay therapy, as developed by Dora Kalff, Geisla Shubach di Domenico and others. Focus on applications to psychotherapeutic practice with various populations as well as how sand tray therapy can be integrated into the multi-modal approach of expressive arts therapy.
This training will take place one Saturday per week for a total of 6 weeks. This is a 45 hour training. CEU Hours Provided.
Upon completion of this program, you will receive a Certification in Humanistic Sand Tray Therapy.
6 WEEK TRAINING
WEEK ONE: Sandtray Therapy The Basics
In level one of the Sand Tray training you will learn about:

- USING THE BUILDER’S WORDS
WEEK THREE: Sand Tray Therapy In-depth Exploration
During level three of this sandtray training, you will deepen your learning and understanding of:
- ARCHETYPES
- SYMBOLS IN THE TRAY
- NUMBERS
- COLORS
- ABSTRACTION IN THE TRAY
WEEK FOUR: Sandtray Therapy Going Deeper
- During level four, you will learn to expand your practice of using sandtray therapy with such techniques as:
- AMPLIFICATION IN THE SANDTRAY
- EXPRESSING AND EMOTING GOING DEEPER
- EMBODIMENT OF THE TRAY ELEMENTS
- DIRECTIVE VS NON-DIRECTIVE TRAYS
- WORKING WITH DIFFERENT POPULATIONS
WEEK FIVE: Practical Applications
During week five we will get practical experience and applications with regard to this practice and how to introduce this modality into clinical practice.
WEEK SIX: Group Sandtray & Special Populations
During week six we will be discussing various venues and populations where a Sand Tray practice can be applied.
